Air Fryer French Fries with Chili Lime Mayo

by chefnatskitchen

These french fries are perfectly crispy on the outside with fluffy potato on the inside. Served with chili lime mayo, they make the perfect side for summertime grilling.

Ingredient List and Health Benefits:

Russet Potatoes: They are high in starch and low in moisture which makes them the perfect potatoes for french fries.

Olive Oil: A perfect healthy fat to coat the potatoes in before seasoning them

Seasonings: You can choose your favorite ones! I like pepper, salt, garlic powder and paprika

Chili Lime Mayo: The BEST new item at Trader Joe’s.. you guys know how much I love TJ’s!

Prepping the Potatoes:

For the best fries, I highly recommend soaking the sliced potatoes in water for at least an hour. If you don’t have time, you can skip this step. Soaking the fries lowers the starch level and makes for the crispiest fries. After an hour, drain water from the bowl and place potatoes on a paper towel. Pat dry to remove as much water as possible and then return to a dry bowl. Coat in olive oil, add seasonings and then place into air fryer.

Cooking the Potatoes in the Air Fryer:

A lot of recipes will tell you not to stack potatoes in the air fryer, I find that not to be true. As long as you shake the basket half way through, they will turn out just fine. If they aren’t crispy enough, simply put them back in for a couple more minutes!
