These Dark Chocolate and Cherry Overnight oats are filling, easy to make and perfect for busy weekday mornings. They come together in 5 minutes, require zero cook time and are ready and waiting for you when you wake up. Sounds like a dream to me!

Ingredient Notes and Health Benefits:
Old fashioned oats: High in fiber and antioxidants, oats are a great ingredient to add to any recipe.
Cinnamon: I love the flavor of cinnamon! It’s loaded with antioxidants and is also an anti-inflammatory. Bam!
Dark chocolate: I love dark chocolate because they are a little bit less sweet and also provide a bunch of health benefits because of the high % of cacao in comparison to milk chocolate! Cacao is high in antioxidants, minerals. It also may reduce the risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure and cholesterol and also contain anti-inflammatory properties
Protein powder: I love using egg white protein. It has a great flavor and is dairy free. Whey protein is also an option.
Cherries: High in fiber, vitamin C, potassium and manganese. They also have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which help to prevent illness and may aid in relieving muscle soreness

How to Make Dark Chocolate and Cherry Overnight Oats
This recipe could not be easier! Place oats, milk, vanilla extract, protein powder and cinnamon into a mason jar. Stir to combine the ingredients. Next, add cherries and chocolate and stir again to combine. Put lid on mason jar and place into the fridge overnight. In the morning, remove from fridge and top with extra cherries and chocolate (optional).
Do I Eat Overnight Oats Hot or Cold?
You can do whichever you prefer! Once removed from the fridge, the oats will be all cooked and you can enjoy your breakfast right away. If you prefer to heat them up to enjoy hot, simply remove the lid, place mason jar in the microwave on medium (5) heat for 1-2 minutes and enjoy!
